Vango Nitestar 450

My old sleeping bag was a no-name one my parents got me for x-mass about 10 years ago. As you can imagen after 10 years of use it was a bit tatty. I decided while i was buying my new tent i would get a new sleeping bag. I didn't want to spend hundreds on a new bag as i had one that was quite usable even if it was a bit old. Also and this one came with a free pillow, anyone that knows me will know that i can't turn down a freebie!.

I added it to my cart, and ordered it. You have gotta be a bit scared at how easy it is to spend your money online. You see some pretty pictures on the computer, click a few buttons, type a few numbers in. Job done you have just spent all your money.

I wasn't expecting anything majorly amazing from a sleeping bag, it did however have 1-2 nice little bits on this that made me think "nice"

  • The Velcro tabs that go over your zips had both parts of the Velcro on each side, so you could fold the tabs back on them selves. This means you don't get a face full of Velcro in the night.

Other than that an average sleeping bag, although i cant think what would make a sleeping bag stand out from the rest. It's a sleeping bag right ?

This been a 3 season bag the specification states:

  • Comfort Temp °c: -1 to +15
  • Extreme Temp °c: -15

This is not to shabby for general spring/summer, mabey a bit of autumn camping. Anything more extreme than camping in late spring / early autumn, you might be a bit chilly, and therefore want something a bit warmer. but for the price (£30-£40) its great
