Renault World Series - Silverstone 2008

It was Friday about 4:00 - 30 min before i leave, and the guy next to me asks if i was going to go to the Silverstone thing. i had forgotten all about it, and to start with i wasn't totally sure what he was on about.

a few months before i had signed up for a set of free tickets to the Renault World Series. its basically just a huge publicity thing for Renault.

by 4:30 - i was going camping for the weekend, at a campsite 5min from the race track. lucky all my camping gear was still packed up from the previous weekends camping in Wales. i just had to go home pick up my tent, restock some food & grab some clean cloths.

the drive over was a uneventfully 1:30 - this however changed once i got to the campsite. the que to get onto the site just to pay was huge.

once on the site i was on a mission to get a space to pitch 2 tents and park two cars. with a space found - the next problem was putting up my tent. turns out i was missing a pole - one of the more important poles from my tent. never mind - some string and a walking pole later - no one would know the difference.

not long after Steve b, my manager showed up, providing the entertainment. He tried to break the laws of physics by fitting a king sized air bed into a small 2man dome tent. I have videos of this that will be going on youtube soon :D
